Day 58

Recording is done. The tracklist remains the same. The artwork goes into production next week and may a take a week or two more. Today is the day it's supposed to be released, but I think we all knew that I couldn't hold myself to any release date. Realistically, it could be released between after Christmas and the new year. I'll probably send them out in January.

At least the recording is done.

Day 52

This is the tracklist thus far:

1. Part I (If You Were)
2. Part II (Waking Up)
3. Next Song (Part I and II) (Featuring Anthony Jackson)
4. Oh My
5. Please Please Please
6. Robots 3 (Featuring S.A.M. and TI-86)
7. Winter This Much

Everything is finished except "Robots 3" which is just waiting for the vocal tracks to be recorded. Other than that, I've finished another song that I'm considering for the album but doubtful it will be on the final cut. It's a tough debate.

In theory I could have this all done by the 9th as planned but I don't want to hold myself to it. I still have to finish the notes and the press release and get the pictures finished. We'll see.

Day 50

We're getting close.

I finished track five ("Please, Please, Please") as predicted and I've essentially finished the music portion of track six, which will feature two members new to me and you, TI-86, and S.A.M. We plan on recording their parts tomorrow or sometime this weekend.

A second problem I've noticed recording is that I get more ideas as I go along and I'm considering doing another which will be very editing intensive, but could be very worthy of being on the EP. With track six, I predict the EP only being about eighteen or nineteen minutes long. I'd really like to break twenty, so blah blah blah

This is boring. All you need to know is the end is near. I'm excited. Whether you know it or not, you should be at least 2% excited. Whatever.

Day 48

Another Day. I'm almost done with what will be track five (I think) of what will be a total of seven tracks (this is quasi-official now). Like I said, it's slow, but I think it will be interesting. I'm considering another short track, but what the heck do I know. I want this thing done so bad. That's the worst part about it is, is not being able to finish it as fast as I want. I want to hear the whole thing, but I'm still a track and one quarter away. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow (this is highly unlikely).

I need to finish (ie start) the artwork. Alas, it's dependent upon too much. Whatever. See you tomorrow.

Day 47

This will hopefully shed some light into the recording process(es) of my upcoming project Unknown Circuitry and others in the future. I won't bore you with any more internal dialouge than that.

Day (I don't know, let's say...) 47
I've got four songs mixed completely, ready to press, and one in a near finalized stage. I need a clip from Poody and he's not been around in a while for me to get it from him. Simply, I need him to say "I like it." Other than that I essentially have five songs with at least two more to complete. I'll throw out some titles for titilation: "Winter This Much;" "Part I (If You Were);" "Part II (Waking Up);" "Oh My." Yeah you like it.

That last song listed, "Oh My," was originally going to be the secret song but I'm throwing it in the main sequence because I like it enough to include it in a prominent spot. If this album was a batting lineup, it would be Ron Gant after Dale Murphy on any particular '89 Braves game.

Currently I'm working on one still kind of untitled, but for now, "Please, Please, Please." It's slow, and in 3/4 time but so far it's going great. It will certainly be a challenge as I only have about have a verse written. I think it will be an interesting turn in context of the whole album.

That's all for now. Talk to you later.
